Inspired by the ethereal quality of bioluminescence, I created a light installation for my Sophomore Studio Class in the spring of 2020. The aim was to capture the warmth and diffusion of sunlight as it illuminates on clouds. Using a wire frame as the structure, I layered cotton and arranged fairy lights within to create a soft glow that radiates through the textured surface. The result is a piece that embodies both the beauty of nature and the subtle interplay between light and form.
