In an exploration of mesh modeling I combined the foundational project of making a chess set with my passion for dinosaurs. Through user interviews and visual research, I analyzed each dinosaur’s imagery and cultural significance to determine its role within a classic chess set. The result was a carefully curated lineup: Tyrannosaurus Rex as the king, Triceratops as the queen, Brachiosaurus as the bishop, Stegosaurus as the rook, Pachycephalosaurus as the knight, and Velociraptor as the pawn. Each dinosaur embodies its subsequent piece’s unique attributes and play style. The resulting product merges function with playful characters in a design that bridges nostalgia and strategy.
